Actual frolicing

We just took the ferrets outside into the snow, Otto on the leash and Butters safely in [livejournal.com profile] joshthestampede's arms. Otto leaped and hopped and dragged me into the middle of the parking lot, before I started worrying he'd pull out of his harness and Disappear Into the Night (tm), and Butters was being squirmy, so we came in. But tomorrow we'll try again; Otto seemed to be having a rollickin' good time, and I bet Butters would like to be down on the ground. Now they are running back and forth on the windowsill trying to figure out what's going on outside.

As am I, actually - not the windowsill thing, but the what's going on thing - because I get the snow part....but the thunder and lightning? Thaaat's a little weird.

Also today - fresh bread first thing from the bread machine; new lamps; clean laundry! And still we have tomorrow.....

You should get a Butters Harness. Then tie the ends together and let them roam. I'd bet there's only so far they'll agree on going together so you'll probably be able to catch them.

That might work...or, Otto will simply take off, dragging Butters behind him to his certain doom. Either way, pretty entertaining.
