My day off

In honor of my impending birthday, I took a couple of days off work. So far today, I have cleaned the bathroom, called the landlord (for the second time) about the dripping-and-about-to-break hot water tap in the bathtub, had a cup of tea and two waffles, played with the ferrets (who are sleeping peacefully in their cage now, thank god), tidied up the couch area, ordered a copy of The Order of the Phoenix (because I realized that was one I didn't own, having borrowed it from a girl at work when it came out), and taken two hits off my emergency inhaler, which is causing me to shake like a little tiny rat dog (gotta love an accidental overdose). Right now, I am typing, and watching The Posiedon Adventure (best movie about a boat being turned upside down I ever saw). Soon, I will finish cleaning the living room, deal with ferret litter boxes, and burn a CD for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] domesticgoddess (yes, you were away for over a month, and I *still* haven't sent your package. I am the worst friend ever).

Later, I will (hopefully) deal with the handyman, and possibly take a bath. Ah, for the life of leisure. It's days like this I really miss grad school. Then again, with my Employment Lifestyle, I actually get to occasionally *buy* things. So that's an upside.

Thank you! *frolics* I am actually finding 35 to be more traumatic than 30...possibly just because it's, you know, *older*. I also know that at 35, I will be out of the Key Demographic that advertisers crave, and probably too old to wear tight tshirts. Unfair!

I don't see why on the tight t-shirt front... go for it. :)
