Wait, wait wait. You agree with Thomas here? IE, you think it's correct to leave off the final "s" when forming a possesive from a singular noun? That's crazy talk. You only leave off the "s" when forming the possessive of a collective noun! So if we're talking about the car of Tom Jones, it's "Jones's car". If we're talking about the cars of the entire Jones family, it's "the Jones' car"
