rorqualAnother sign of my increasing age: I went shopping last week, and I think my favorite purchase (barring the one mentioned below) was a pair of insoles for my lovely high-heel mid-calf boots. Because the boots rock, but ow, the feet! So there I was at work Tuesday trotting around, so pleased about how comfy my insoles were. When did practicality start coming before beauty, I ask you?
The best purchase, of course, is my shiny new 7-piece Henckels Professional S knife set. Mmmmm.....brutally sharp knives. And even better, it came packed in biodegradable corn starch peanuts, so the ferrets can play in them to their heart's content, and not run the risk of killing themselves via styrofoam ingestion. They are pretty happy about that; Otto has already stolen and hidden a few of them. Now, though, he's busy beating the heck out of Butters. Ah, family. I'm glad I was an only child.
