Yesterday, first bath in the lovely clawfoot bath in the main bathroom. Took forever to fill, due to tiny tiny spigot, but that will be dealt with in My House, 2.0. Also, first raspberry italian soda made in my new and very box-ed kitchen.
This morning, first visit from the Jehovah's Witnesses; I remember from living in this neighborhood before that they're pretty frequent visitors. But, they told me that all the evidence shows that we are nearing the end of man's tragic experiment in independence from God, so that's good news.
Also, first two visits from friends of mine who have substantially renovated their own houses. One set of them mentally remodeled my kitchen and taught me how my boiler works, and the other set asked if it was wise to put all my books in the room with the fireplace, and suggested I get tropical flowers for my incredibly sunny sunporch. Overall, thumbs up from both parties, though, so that was good.
And finally, first phone call on the landline! Yes, for those of you who care, we are back on the real phone service, with our old number. The jack's broken (you know how the line is supposed click into the jack? Well, there's no clicky in the jack, so I had to tape it in with eelctrical tape), so service may be intermittent. Try, try again!
