I actually managed to drag myself out of bed in time to go to the farmer's market this morning, in the rain. The guys at the bread stands approved of my "Choose Carbs" t-shirt. I bought some lovely flowers, some apples so I can make a pie (I am in such a baking mood right now), bread, danish, and some veggies I am sure I will do something with. I also got absolutely soaked; it was raining the whole time, and just pouring for part of it. It's still raining now; the stream outside the house is pretty high, over the measuring stick on the edge, though I think the flood warning ended just a few minutes ago. It's actually perfect for a Saturday - I don't have anywhere to go, I can sit and have tea and pie and toast from my nice whole-wheat bread, play with the ferrets, and generally enjoy myself. Which I will do, later - so far I have cleaned the kitchen, and I will do the bathroom and ferret's room next. See, even on lazy days I can be productive! (I also took a nap - there's not much nicer than getting back into bed on a rainy day, snuggling up to someone warm, and having a lovely nap until you feel like getting up. Maybe on a snowy day....)

Other things on my to-do list - marking up my Baltimore map to send to my out-of-town realtor mother, so she has an idea of where to look while she does a little househunting work for me. Playing Neverwinter Nights. Napping. Making pie. Patching up a hole in my couch. Thinking about buying a new couch (anybody want a used but fundamentally fine/absolutely free couch? For those of you who have been here, it's the flowered one.) Watching bad tv. Puttering.

Also, this is very very funny. The link takes you directly to the film clip; sound is critical, so make sure you have it on. It's genius!

Off to tidy the living room. How did we get so many comics?!? Are we really such huge dorks? Oh, wait.....
