When I got up at 5.15am, it was just switching from snow to sleet, and getting crunchy and icy underfoot. So I figured, rather than having a three hour commute down in the "wintry mix", along with my typical three hour Friday drive home, I'd just stay home and make myself a lot happier. And back to nice warm bed I went. It was lovely.
After I crawled out of bed at 1pm, I lazed about, made cookies, and generally wasted my day. In the evening, I took a peppermint-scented bath, and watched a couple eps of Lost from the DVD that we bought but never looked at. I haven't actually left the house all day, unless you count getting dressed and schlepping out onto the front steps this morning to check out how cold it was. I don't count that.
In other holiday news, I have actually managed to complete six Christmas cards, and have even included Cute Photos of Ferrets in some of them. Now I just need some stamps, and a couple more addresses, and I will totally rock the holiday thing. I just need to get a tree, and figure out some way to keep the ferrets out of it. Perhaps with barbed wire.
I think I will play a bit on the computer, and then stagger off to bed. Yay snow day!
